Rituals for Removing Creative Blocks
Book (5.5” x 8.5”, 48pp.) + Social Practice Project, 2017-18.
In collaboration with Leora Fridman and Kim Upstill.
Description
Rituals for Removing Creative Blocks is a social practice project that offers written, somatic instructions to solve problems of contemporary creative life, and challenges participants to examine indirect and non-monetary driven solutions to creative blocks. The rituals -- available as a live, interactive performance and thereafter in writing in a limited-edition chapbook -- broaden an understanding of creative “results,” “ends and means,” and the idea of a muse and magic as relates to creative labor.
